Autumn and Halloween fun

We had lots of fun exploring the changes that happen during autumn. We went on an autumn walk in our school garden. We found leaves of all colours as well as acorns and conkers for our autumn table. We even saw lovely pumpkins ready for harvesting. Harry the hedgehog and scamper the squirrel joined our classroom. Hog the Hedge book was a real treat and we loved retelling the story in our role-play corner.

For Halloween, we made lots of scary characters such as ghosts, spiders, witches and lots more. We dressed up and showed all the classes our wonderful outfits and learned lots of new songs. We even enjoyed a little treat of tasting bairín breac and Becky found the ring. A great first term was had by all.
